Collection: september drop

From crossbody bags for mini getaways to handbags designed to carry your everyday essentials, this is LOOP STUDIO’s take on reimagining the obi,  a traditional Japanese kimono belt, into bags made for everyday life.

For this September drop, I sourced 24 second-hand obis, carefully selecting each one for a different bag style that I felt would best bring out the character of the original textile.

Each piece celebrates the beauty of traditional Japanese weaving techniques while honoring the skilled artisans who brought these beautiful obis to life.

Featuring unique patterns, colors, and textures, every bag gives a beautiful piece of Japanese textile history and a new life through the art of upcycling <3
