COMORI BAG (L) <black × multicolor abstract mountain land scape pattern > Upcycled product

I carefully upcycled this COMORI BAG from a second-hand Japanese obi 

My design was inspired by the concept of Nodate (野点)—the Japanese open-air tea ceremony where people take a moment to pause and appreciate nature, new encounters, and the present.

I wanted the bag to directly reflect that feeling. That’s why I designed the handle to flow seamlessly right out of the bag's body, almost like it's gently wrapping up that precious, fleeting time. I also added wave-like pleats as a visual metaphor for the flow of time during the ceremony—fleeting yet eternal. Plus, they double as extra padding to protect your tea set.

Whether you're packing a tea set into the nature or just navigating your daily city commute, my hope is that this bag reminds you to carry a sense of presence and connection with you wherever you go.

This bag is made from second hand silk obi, and while the material has been carefully tested for strength, excessive force or unusual use may cause damage. 

To ensure its longevity, please avoid 

・Contact with water

・Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight

・Excessive friction

As for care, DO NOT MACHINE WASH, instead, gently patting any stained area with a towel is recommended.
